Pythagorean Tuning & Just Intonation

No discussion of harmonics is complete without a discussion of Pythagorean Tuning. Just Intonation is a musical tuning system which is based off of simple whole number ratios to define the frequencies which create systems of octaves and notes.

While the Pythagorean Tuning system was based on perfect fifths (3:2 ratios), just intonation incorporates and builds off of that tuning system, and has become one of the dominant models for intonation in the west.
