Joseph Murphy

Hello,

I'm Joseph Murphy. I'm a DWI Grad student, a web developer at Shadow Health, and I teach an undergrad course in CISE's DAS program. My main areas of interest are Data Visualization, Generative Art, User Interface/User Experience, and Adaptive Design.

Most of my work revolves around visual design, and aside from basic editing or layering, I don't have much experience with audio design. I would like to spend some time this semester playing with UI sounds (e.g. feedback effects, whether mobile device clicks or in video game UI). I think Nintendo has a fantastic set of audio UI effects on their flagship games.

I'm looking forward to a fun and informative semester.
