Vocoder vs. Autotune

The Vocoder and the Autotune phenomenon are two things that are very intertwined. They tend to produce a very similar effect on the vocal track of a produced song. Auto-tuning is a process that corrects the off-key vocal track by shifting the electronic sound up or down to tune the off key note that is sung. The Vocoder is a machine that takes in vocal tones and returns them with harmonics included with the original voice.
