Weekend Listening Assignment: March 5,2017

Genesis-Carpet Crawler:

Sounds like it belongs in the ball dance scene of the movie the labyrinth or another type of fantasy movie. His voice is really peaceful and sounds pretty, even when he raises his voice its still at a low-normal tone.

Yes-Long Distance Runaround:

Liked it but weird change in music/tone half way through.The guys has some nice vocals and the guitar is rhythm is nice, but I get a little lost with the song switch up. Had a good solo too.

Pink Floyd-One of these days:

I really don't like how it took about 50 seconds of just wind until I heard an instrument being played. However I did enjoy the rhythm and tempo that it has, but I feel that the wind sound effects ruins the experience of the song for me. It had an ominous feel, and gave the feeling like something is going to happen or build up to the drums and guitar riffs. It took an odd turn though, with the base and what sounds like flutes, some other things?? Not entirely sure. All the sounds that are happening at once is just too much and clash against each other.
